Hispanic Digital Producer and Network Partnerships

Role Summary
Reporting to the VP and Creative Director, this position brings innovative brand marketing solutions to life across Telemundo and Universo’s linear, digital and social platforms – with a keen focus on developing and producing digital first and social-first content. The Digital Producer must have a background in independent video production; (s)he will conceptualize, write scripts, produce, and supervise post-production of branded content across all platforms while helping guide the creative of social-specific and digital-specific content.

This position requires excellent production and writing skill sets, a strong background in the creation of original digital and social content, and a passionate commitment to producing compelling content that is aligned with specific brand objectives. The ideal candidate is a creative and resourceful social video expert, who is capable of guiding a team of creatives in the development and production of social-first content. The candidate must be a native of U.S. and U.S. Hispanic pop culture landscape who keeps ahead of the latest trends in social media and emerging technologies and platforms.

This candidate must also be capable of collaborating with a team of network and cable producers on cross-channel scripted and unscripted programming, to support the Integrations team and bring innovative brand integrations to life during the production of Awards shows and other tent pole properties. In addition, the Digital Producer will participate in pre-sale brainstorming sessions with the Network

Partnerships/Integrated Marketing Strategy team, to conceptualize creative solutions for brands and products, across both linear and digital platforms.


  • Conceptualize, create and execute branded video content, cross-channel and cross-platform
  • Source, hire, and oversee outsourced production companies
  • Guide and mentor the team on social and digital content best practices
  • Ensure that client activations are aligned with FTC/FCC regulations
  • Ensure that executions follow the department’s processes and guidelines
  • Brainstorm innovative, cross-platform ideas for assigned categories, in partnership with the Strategy team and the NBCUniversal Networks Partnerships team across the portfolio
  • Conceptualize and write platform-specific concept briefs and scripts in English and Spanish
  • Produce and oversee post-production of assigned branded content deliverables
  • Lead client kick-off calls and status meetings in areas related to production
  • Educate and inform clients and agencies as to NBCU Hispanic Group’s branded content guidelines and processes
  • Collaborate with Legal, Business Affairs, Talent, and other appropriate departments to vet ideas that impact programming content
  • Prepare Production Cost Estimates for original content production
  • Report costs and billing associated with brand activations to VP and Finance Coordinator
  • Qualifications/requirements

    Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year degree (A.A., A.S.) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years of production experience, with a focus on original content production for digital and social platforms
  • Production experience must include budgeting, hiring and managing crews, supervising post-production
  • Strong scriptwriting, narrative, or copy writing skills in both English and Spanish
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Strong creative and production skill set with tangible examples
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both English and Spanish
